Sharemates is a ready-made operator dashboard and end-user dashboard that sits on top of your Sharetribe marketplace. It gives marketplace founders the tools they need to manage day-to-day operations, and gives their providers and customers a dashboard to complete verification, view transactions, and communicate — without needing to build any of this from scratch.
Sharemates consists of two applications:
Operator dashboard — for marketplace founders and administrators. Configure your marketplace, view users, listings, and transactions, set up integrations, and manage notification rules.
End-user dashboard — for providers and customers. Connect Shopify (providers), complete identity verification, view transactions, and view messages from transactions.
What capabilities are in Sharemates
For operators
Configure marketplace branding (logo, colours) and enter listing types, custom fields, and categories
Set up user types and access control rules. Control who can view listings, post listings, or initiate transactions
Require identity verification (via Didit) before users can take certain roles
Enable instant booking for automatic approval of bookings and configure rules for which listings can and cannot be booked instantly
View users, listings, transactions, and messages
Set up operator email notifications triggered by transaction events or when an end-user updates their user fields
Connect third-party integrations: Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, and Didit
For providers and customers
Sync products from Shopify store for easier onboarding
Complete identity verification via Didit to unlock features on the marketplace like posting rights or transaction rights

How Sharemates works with Sharetribe
Sharemates connects to your Sharetribe marketplace using the Sharetribe Integration API. Your Sharetribe marketplace remains the source of truth for all data like users, listings, transactions, messages, and stock. The Sharetribe Console also handles your core marketplace configuration (transaction process, pricing, etc.).
Sharemates sits alongside Console, expanding its capabilities. Operators should use it to automate notification and access control workflows. Sharemates also gives enhanced visibility into users’ verification status and the marketplace’s financials.
Sharemates also expands capabilities for end-users of your marketplace through an external dashboard. Your marketplace customers and providers can login to verify their identity, sync their products to your marketplace from their Shopify store, or see more information about their transactions and conversations.
