Meet Sharebot

Sharebot is Sharetribe’s AI support bot. You can chat with Sharebot anytime from the widget in your Console or in the Help Center.

Use Sharebot to understand how Sharetribe works, explore how to build your marketplace, and learn about all the features available to you.

If at any point you’d rather talk to a person, just type “speak to a human.” We’ll take it from there — your message will be sent to our support team, who will follow up with you directly.

What Sharebot can help you with

Sharebot is a fast, flexible way to learn about Sharetribe. It’s trained on more than 200 Help Center articles that explain how to build and manage your marketplace using Sharetribe’s no-code tools.

Sharebot can help you:

  1. Understand how Sharetribe works

  2. Discover what features you can use to build your marketplace

  3. Find the right settings and tools for your use case

  4. Troubleshoot questions about your marketplace setup

You can ask questions in your own words, such as:

  1. “How can I add a search filter?”

  2. “Why is my background image small?”

  3. “When will providers be paid after a booking completes?”

Every time Sharebot answers, it will include links to the Help Center sources it used, so you can dive deeper into any topic.

What Sharebot can’t help you with

Like all AI tools, Sharebot has limits. It’s designed to help you get the most out of Sharetribe’s no-code features, but it can’t do everything.

Keep these points in mind:

  1. No coding help: Sharebot can tell you if something requires custom code, but it can’t teach you to code or guide you through writing custom code.

  2. No memory: Each chat is independent — Sharebot doesn’t remember past conversations.

  3. No access to your marketplace: Sharebot can’t “see” your Console or make changes for you.

  4. No access to your billing account: please contact the support team if you would like to make any changes

  5. No outreach: Sharebot can’t message your users on your behalf.

Also, because it’s AI-based, Sharebot may occasionally share inaccurate or outdated information (a common AI behavior called hallucination). When in doubt, click the linked sources or ask to speak to a human.

Your privacy and data

Sharebot doesn’t access your private marketplace data or account information. It only draws from Sharetribe’s Help Center content to provide answers. Your messages are not used to make changes to your marketplace.

How to get the best experience with Sharebot

To make the most out of Sharebot, try the following tips:

  1. Use clear, specific language. Mention the exact feature name from Console or your question (for example, “listing fields” or “transaction process”).

  2. Check the sources. Click the Help Center links Sharebot cites for the most detailed, accurate information.

  3. Experiment safely. Try Sharebot’s suggestions in your Test environment before applying them to your live marketplace.

  4. Ask for a human when needed. If something’s unclear, contradictory, or beyond Sharebot’s scope, type “speak to a human.”

When to use Sharebot — and when to contact us directly

Use Sharebot when you want to:

  1. Learn about Sharetribe’s features and how they work

  2. Explore what’s possible with no-code tools

  3. Get quick answers and links to the right resources

Contact our support team instead when you:

  1. Need help with custom code or technical issues

  2. Have questions about billing or your account

  3. Want a deeper review of your specific setup

We’re always here to help — whether through Sharebot or directly with our support team.

How to reach Sharetribe’s support team

If you ever want to switch from Sharebot to a human conversation, just type “speak to a human.” This creates a support ticket, and someone from our team will reply as soon as possible.

Once Sharebot creates a ticket and assigns it to our team, it will stop responding. To start working with Sharebot again, start a new conversation from the widget.

If you want to go back to working with Sharebot, then you need to start a new conversation.

Our support team is online seven days a week, ready to help you with any question Sharebot can’t answer. You can expect a reply within 24 hours, oftentimes much faster than that.
