The Inbox page can be found on the marketplace and it is accessible to users when they are logged in to the marketplace.

The Inbox page is where your marketplace end users can see transactions they have been part of, both past and ongoing and whether as a customer and or a provider. Depending on your Listing type settings, transactions may include bookings, purchases or message inquiries.

Inbox navigation

The inbox link can be found on the right corner of the top bar while a user is logged in to their account.

The Inbox page has two tabs in the left sidebar: one shows transactions as a customer, and the other shows transactions as a listing author (or provider).

Tip: If your marketplace has a B2C model where customers can only buy but not sell, and providers can only sell but not buy, you can use the User types feature to set different user roles. This way, customers only see the Customer inbox, and providers only see the Provider inbox.

Sorting options

The Inbox page has three sorting options that allows the end user to sort their transactions:

  • Newest: Shows transactions sorted by their creation date, from newest to oldest.

  • Latest message: Shows transactions with at least a message first, sorted by their last message date, from newest to oldest. Other transactions without a message are then shown, sorted by their creation date.

  • Latest status change: Shows transactions sorted by their status update date, from newest to oldest.
