Hi Everyone, our buyers and sellers are international, so a single shipping rate is a bit weak in Sharetribe. Has anybody been able to resolve this? Shippo integration would be really neat. the site in question is minfind.com, which currently aggregates over 30,000 items from 30 dealer sites. There are are round 200,000 collectors worldwide, and the idea is to make it easy for them to sell to each other using sharetribe.

Thank you for posting. I have to find another place to host my marketplace for now since we also need to connect sellers in one country to buyers around the world. Shippo integration would have been ideal.

So far as i understand you need to add Shippo API integration to calculate dynamic shipping price based on the shipping address, I have very vast experience in this API with Sharetribe and this is quite possible only with Self hosted version as it would have needed to integrate Shippo Api at code level.
Shippo provides ruby gem https://github.com/goshippo/shippo-ruby-client
You can use this gem to get things work with Sharetribe.

I don’t think we’ll add support for advanced shipping in Sharetribe Go ever. As you may have noticed, we’ve recently introduced The New Sharetribe, our new marketplace builder, which replaces Sharetribe Go as the easiest, fastest way to build a marketplace. Sharetribe Go will no longer be actively maintained. You can learn more about Go vs the new Sharetribe here.
The good news is that it is possible to build such a feature with the new Sharetribe! Quite a few of our customers have been customizing their transaction flow to integrate with a shipping solution such as Shippo, ShipStation, or Postmen.
I think this is definitely the best way to go. Hopefully, you’ll consider it!

Alright, got it! That forum is dedicated to the Community Edition of Sharetribe Go (Sharetribe’s old no-code builder), so that confused me 
Indeed, I see how valuable that would be to have this type of feature already built-in. However, one challenge is that this is quite unique to each marketplace!
Over the past years, we learned that marketplaces in need of shipping options all have custom needs. For some, the important is to integrate with specific providers, for others, it’s about the way shipping is charged, and for some, it’s about supporting international shipping, too. We haven’t found yet a good way to build a shipping feature that is generic enough to provide value to many people, while allowing them to adjust things to their unique situation.
This is why, right now, I believe that the best answer to this is to integrate with a service dedicated to shipping, like the ones I’ve mentioned earlier. These services/companies have been built just to solve the challenges of shipping, and they provide far more flexibility than a more generic no-code feature could.
I hope you’ll be able to work, possibly with a Sharetribe Expert, to integrate with one of these services and build the ideal flow for your marketplace. Sharetribe Go did not offer that option at all, and it is now possible with the new Sharetribe, allowing you to focus on just this adjustment without having to build all the other core features of a marketplace and its transaction process.
