A quick question, what is the ETA to enable the site admin to TURN OFF Stripe escrow?

Our marketplace was functioning fine without Stripe escrow, and now you have turned it on automatically without the ability to switch it off.

Hey Duc,

Holding funds has always been available with Stripe, this is a feature that was built from day one with Stripe, it was not added later.

However this feature isn’t available with PayPal, only with Stripe.

Right now, we are not working on adding the ability to turn the delayed payments feature off. We’ll continue to gather feedback about it but so far, demand to disable it has been minimal so this is not something we are considering for the time being.

With the open-source version, you can of course hire your own team and build this for yourself if you want to though.

Hopefully this clarifies things.

Any idea if a new release is imminent ? like v7.3.0 ?

I’m considering updating my sharetribe to the latest release but would like to avoid missing the latest release by a few days…

Hey there!

We don’t really schedule releases so I don’t have any timeline to share. We may make one new release in mid/late January, but this is not precisely defined yet.

Upgrades should be quite easy though, as the current work in progress (and also for 7.2) doesn’t requires strong changes, so upgrading should go smoothly :smile:
