Subscriptions paid via Purchase Order / Invoice / Bank Transfer?

1. "Purchase Orders

I noticed at:
https://www.sharetribe.com/how-to-build/marketplace-website-features/

Under “Niche Specific Features”, you write:

a marketplace that allows businesses to hire high-end business consultants might consider adding features that support large enterprise users. These might include payments with Purchase Orders (POs), personalized customer support, or the ability to set onboarding tasks for sellers to complete before beginning a project

I’m familiar with Rails but just getting familiar with ShareTribe. Do you have an tips for how you would recommend implementing Purchase Order / Invoicing support as a payment option? If this is something you’ve already built in the past but isn’t part of the open-core, please email me would probably be better to license it than reinventing the wheel…

2. Subscriptions

You mention at:
https://help.sharetribe.com/en/articles/1312737-subscription-membership-feature

Sign up for a subscription billing service. We recommend Chargebee – this is what many of our customers are using, and we’re also using them ourselves for billing our customers. They’re great!

For enterprise subscriptions that will be paid via invoice and bank transfer, would you still recommend integration with Chargebee to handle the subscriptions? Would you just use Chargebee’s “Offline Payments” mechanism for that? Do you think that gives enterprise customers a very pleasant user interface?

Would you think “Subscriptions” should be added as a new listing type here?

Thank you for your time!

Hey @e_r_w_i_n, and thanks for the questions! Good to hear about your progress so far.

Based on the screenshot you’ve shared, it looks like you’re now working with Sharetribe Flex. Is that correct?

This forum is focused on the Community Edition (CE) of Sharetribe Go. Flex is our most recent product and I would strongly advise to start building your marketplace with it rather than with Go or Go CE, even though it uses different technologies than Rails.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to our team via the chat widget in your Flex Console, we’ll be happy to help you customize your Flex marketplace! In addition, you can join the Sharetribe Flex Slack channel at https://www.sharetribe.com/flex-slack, where you’ll be able to get insights from other Flex customers who may have built some similar components already.

Hopefully, this helps!
