Skip payment process

Hi

I don’t want to use a payment system with Sharetribe. I know that it’s possible to disable the payment system, but then the users only exchange messages what makes the commitment between them very weak. In my marketplace, there is a 3rd party instance which will do the billing manually. So what I need is to turn off or skip the payment but it should still be possible to continue the process and let the provider accept or decline a request. The billing instance then should be informed e.g. by email about an accepted request. It would also be possible for the billing instance to manually export the accepted transactions day by day.

I don’t need a mature / perfect solution because it’s for a proof of concept only. It would also be fine to just fake an existing payment system to skip the billing process.

Does anyone have already done something similar? Can anyone share some code?

Hello Lukas, Hope all is well at your end! I have checked the details mentioned by you and I think, it is somehow similar to what we have done in our marketplace where we disable the payment system and buyer and seller can connect with each other, even the messaging system would also works. I hoped that someone can share some code with me.

In the meantime, I have already hired a freelancer to implement my requirements.
