Possible on Sharetribe Go? Prices in local currency, discounts, emojis, extra static pages

Hi everyone. I’m using Sharetribe Go currently. Is it possible to do the following on Sharetribe go? Or would I need to migrate to flex and hire a developer?

  • Display prices in local currencies. The store is based in the UK and uses GBP. Can prices be displayed in USD to US users, EUR to European users etc?
  • Offer discounts or promotions. Eg can I reduce the commission that certain users have to pay?
  • Use emojis in static pages? It looks like mercury editor doesn’t support them.
  • Add a thin banner/footer with a message in it?
  • Add extra static pages for SEO?

Do I understand correctly that you’re using the hosted version of Sharetribe Go (created at www.sharetribe.com)? In this forum, questions are focused on the Community Edition of Sharetribe Go (you can learn more about it at https://help.sharetribe.com/en/articles/666103-differences-between-hosted-and-community-edition-versions-of-sharetribe-go).

Go doesn’t have any of the features you’ve listed available out of the box, indeed. Some things could be done with Custom script and most would requires custom coding, for example on top of the Community Edition, on your own hosting.

However, Sharetribe Flex already offers some of these features and the others are really easy to build and customize, with the help of a developer from our Expert network. In addition, Flex is much easier to work with and designed to be extended, something that Go (even in its Community Edition) isn’t.

I definitely think you should consider Flex instead of Go or Go CE, indeed.
