I figured I would se the community before I hire a developer considering I don’t have any tech skills. My sharetribe Go website has been working fine for years but recently for many weeks now, the website is extremely slow. Pages take 40 seconds or more to load.
1 - I used Amazon lightsail for my server. I spoke to my an AMazon and when running my instance we realized that the CPU usage is between 85% and 95% for the command “bundle”.
2 - A developer looked through my server access log and he said he saw that there were many requests from Amazon and Facebook bots.
3- I thought about rebooting my instance as a troubleshooting step. He guided, we created a snapshot however when I enter the IP address in the web browser it doesn’t return anything. So I was advised against rebooting the instance because it wasn’t safe.
I don’t know what to do guys. Is the source of the problem, the Bundle command taking 85% to 95% and what should I look for? Or is it really the bots attacked?
