How we help our team thrive on and off the clock.

#### Competitive salary & full salary transparency

We determine our salaries [through an open process](/balanced/how-we-make-salary-decisions/) that considers the market rate for corresponding roles in Finland, your individual contribution, and our strategy to reduce income inequality. All salaries are adjusted annually, and everyone at Sharetribe knows each other’s salary.

#### Extra paid time off

According to the Finnish work legislation, every full-time team member gets five weeks of paid time off after the first year of employment. As a starting bonus, you get 10 additional paid holiday days on top of the holiday you accumulate.

#### Extra paid parental leave

We extend the paid parental leave dictated by the collective bargaining agreement for the Finnish IT sector by 10 days for both parents. This means that currently, the total paid parental leave at Sharetribe is 80 days for the birthing parent and 40 days for the non-birthing parent.

#### Work from the location of your choice

You have full flexibility to decide if you work remotely or from our office. We have a really nice office in downtown Helsinki and we often organise activities like company-paid team lunches and gatherings there, but you're free to be remote whenever you prefer that.

#### Health care (including an annual dental care budget)

Some highlights from our comprehensive health care package include short-term psychotherapy, gynecologist appointments without referral, and an annual dental health care budget of 250 euros. #### (Home) office setup + device budget

Set up your ideal workstation at the Sharetribe office or at home with your chosen gear: desk, chair, laptop, screen, and accessories. In addition, each teammate has a personal device budget which can be used for additional gear, such as a phone, tablet, additional screen, ergonomics improvements, etc.

#### Learning budget

Every teammate has a learning budget that can be used for courses, learning material, subscriptions, or allotting work hours for learning.

#### Team evenings and cottage trips

We get together every month for dinner and something fun: watch movies, make glass beads, arrange flowers, try indoor surfing… your ideas on team activities are welcome! (Joining is totally optional, so no pressure if that’s not your thing.) Twice per year, the entire team goes on a three-day cottage trip to talk strategy, do workshops, and enjoy each other’s company.

#### What skills do I need to do well at Sharetribe?

Each opening is unique and has specific requirements outlined in the job ad. However, we often look for individual contributors with strong self-management skills. Given the nature of our customer base, fluency in English—both written and spoken—is also typically required. We work asynchronously, so great writing skills are helpful for every role.

#### What’s your hiring process like?

Our hiring process varies depending on the role and is determined by the corresponding hiring team. For specific details, please refer to the job ad—you’ll find the process described at the bottom of the page.
