Landing page editor works on community install?

Does the $99 landing page editor work on the community self-install? I had a less then forthcoming Dev install community for me without letting me know I would get no landing page. I am now trying to figure out how to do it myself or hire someone to help me learn.

I keep coming across the landing page editor even in my install it has a upsell for it. Will this work for me?

BTW I need the community self-install according to sharetribe because in the country my marketplace will operate in we need a different payment gateway and I was told this is my only option. Also looking for Dev recommendations to help me get this done as well.

Thanks for any help

Hey CC!

The Custom Landing Page and its editor are fully available in the Community Edition. If it doesn’t work right out of the box, have a look at the instructions at https://github.com/sharetribe/sharetribe#custom-landing-page

Every dev I talk to keeps telling me this is not possible? What do I need to do? just pay the $99?

@cct To clarify, you are already using the Community Edition of Sharetribe Go (on your own servers), right?

If yes, you don’t have to pay anything extra to enable the Custom Landing Page. It’s available for free in Go CE, it just has to be enabled (see my link earlier) if that hasn’t been enabled by default.

If no, and you have a paid subscription at Sharetribe, then indeed the Custom Landing Page is available as an add-on.

Yes I have the self hosted community edition. I can not find any info at the link provided on how to activate the custom landing page builder. It just takes me to the same ad for the $99 version as I have in my admin backend. I would like to know how to enable this for free on my self install edition.

Did you have a chance to look at this post, that is mentioned in the instructions/link I’ve shared earlier?

It’s a great guide from Jeremy D Evans, who contributes often to this forum and it’s a great way to review that everything is in place with your own installation.

In particular, double check that the features of the plan defined in your marketplace_plans table has landing_page set to true.

Hopefully this helps.
